Self-Care Really Matters
Friday, July 19 | 1:00 pm
Nancy Kriseman, Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Geriatric Consulting Services
Join us Saturday, July 13, for a workshop on helping those caring for family or friends living with dementia or Alzheimer’s recognize some of the emotional reasons they may be resistant to help. As they become more dependent and feel less in control, they are more prone to resistance. Learn new ways to help move past their resistance so they can be more at ease.
We all know that self-care is a necessity, but sometimes gets lost when we are the caregiver for a family member or friend. Friday, July 19, learn why caregiver stress is so unique and better understand how to cope. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear examples on how to be more compassionate toward yourself.
Nancy Kriseman, LCSW, has more than 30 years of experience specializing in working with seniors and their families. She is the author of three books on caregiving and received her master’s in social work with a Specialty in Aging from the University of Michigan.
Supervised Valeo™ memory care programs and food are available for your family member or friend while you attend these events.
